JCM 220 Galvanized Compression Couplings
Couplings and fitting shall be of the modified wedge-gasketed, boltless, compression type for plain end pipe. Fittings shall be made from malleable iron, meeting the minimum wall thickness requirements of ASA B16.3 (150 lb. malleable iron fittings). Follower nuts shall have octagonal outside contour and shall be so machined that when assembled with a body, the inside face of the nut will bottom against the end of the body. The gasket retainer shall confine the gasket, prevent false tightness of the nut and prevent gasket from catching in the threads of the nut.
Not suitable for gas service.
