JCM 114 Henderson NC 24 inch Asbestos Cement Pipe

City of Henderson, North Carolina – 24” Asbestos Cement Pipe, leaking A/C coupling/pipe joint. A Previous leaking A/C coupling was repaired by taking the line out of service, cutting out the coupling and installing a replacement section of pipe. Taking the line out of service was an inconvenience to the system users and required time to drain the line. Using the JCM 114 Mechanical Joint Bell Repair Sleeve reduced labor time to about 4 hours, kept the line in service and will last the life of the pipeline. The Asbestos Cement Pipe presented some issues with irregular diameters around the coupling. These issues were overcome by custom fabrication of the 114 to fit the measured pipe diameters.
